This is a casual mom-and-pop restaurant. Came here on a Sunday and they weren't busy. Service was very good. The waitress was super friendly and cheery. They have a mixture of Chinese and Taiwanese dishes. We ordered 5 items. We got the Lung Jiang pork trotter, the Minan Jiang Mu Ya (ginger duck), the salted fish ground pork clay pot rice, and two soups (crocodile soup and pig tail soup). The pork trotters and duck were flavorful but not salty at all. Both dishes were sautéed style but there's a slight difference in taste. The texture of the pork trotter was just right. The clay pot rice had a huge layer of flat ground pork covering the rice. Though it didn't look it but there was a fair amount of rice underneath. It was hot and with the slightly sweetened soy sauce it was perfect. The two soups were piping hot and very herby. The herbs have medicinal benefits and the smell and taste were not offensive at all. First time trying crocodile meat, the texture was similar to frog but once you bite into the bones there was a slight similarity in that lamb-like smell/taste. Overall all the foods were pretty good. In terms of pricing it wasn't expensive at all. They no longer serve the steam rice in the bamboo cans due to easy cracks from heat on the bamboo. They now only have clay pots. Give this place a try if you're in the neighborhood.

Great Taiwanese cuisine! We ordered to go (4) dishes that my whole family loved! The Shaxian Steamed Dumplings look delicate but are delicious! It comes with a light peanut sauce. Taiwanese Braised Pork is succulent; great balance of fat and meat in savory sauce! Cured Meat Steamed Rice is the Taiwanese sausage, very flavorful especially with the special sauce provided! Last but not least is the Scallion Pancake. Very nicely made! Not hard, not chewy, not dry. Just right! Great place with plenty of parking around!

Saw this new spot and decided to give it a try. It was empty when we came on Monday. We were greeted and given hot water. They speak Mandarin here though we were able to navigate through using half Mandarin and half English. In terms of food this is what I tried out. Pork Patty Steam Rice with shiitake Mushroom - Personally really enjoyed this. It comes with ALOT of rice maybe 1 whole cup worth. Patty was delicious and I enjoyed the sauce. It was like comfort food. (4/5) Pork Rib Steamed Rice with Black Bean Sauce - This was also good but I felt wasn't as fun to eat because it had so many bones. Personally I wouldn't order this again. Flavorwise it was good but so many bones on top of rice doesn't make it that satisfying. (3.5/5) Personally, this restaurant was pretty good but also didn't wow me either. I would come back though to try out other stuff on the menu. The rice dishes were comforting and it seems like the dishes here come in cool look bowls/plates. I spent $33 for the two rice dishes that I got.

We had the whole restaurant to ourselves, and the food is surprisingly very good! I really liked the wontons. I've never had such thin wonton skin wrapped with meat, the soup was very clean and yet flavorful. The beef noodle soup with sour soup was very interesting. I wasn't used to this soup, but it was very tasty! The beef was cooked to my liking- not overcooked! The chicken wings were also very good- not over cooked, still was able to keep its juice and yet crunchy! The server was very kind, even though we were the ones there in the morning. Will come back again!

Came here for lunch and it was a really homey experience. We ordered the #1 beef streamed rice with pickled mustard (that had enough rice for two people), #10 braised chicken and abalone soup with ginseng, #35 Minnan ginger duck, and # 42 garlic bok choy. Though the soup size was a bit small for the price, I felt the quality of the broth was worth it on the first taste. You know by the smell of garlic bok choy that the hot wok was on fire! (The fire emoji is not showing up here) The service was kind and fast. Will definitely come back to try the other soups and dishes! Come give it a try!

Hidden gem for heartwarming comfort food. Their steamed rices are quite large and generous with the toppings. This isn't clay pot rice so don't expect the crispy bits, but it's really great when you're looking for something that's more everyday or if you're feeling a bit under the weather. Cold cucumbers were a much larger plate than expected with toasted peanuts tossed into a slightly mala marinade. Their wontons were essentially small bite sized tender pieces of meat balls wrapped in a super silky thin skin. The broth itself was a standard auntie style basic broth with a bit of shredded wakame in it. Very auntie-made-you-a-big-snack vibe. Service was pretty minimal, parking is abundant.

Stumbled upon this on ubereats. We ordered Taiwan braised pork, Longjian pork knuckle rice which only came with 4 pieces of pork knuckle to be exact lol, fragrant noodles with peanut butter, and spare ribs with black bean sauce over steamed rice. I liked the Taiwan braised pork and pork knuckle, they are both super flavorful. Love the tea eggs also. The noodles I think would've tasted much better eaten fresh and in person. The spare ribs I would never order again. It's just a few pieces of spare ribs with no veggies. Throw some veggies in there please!!!!!
